Geometric mean

Japanese: 幾何平均 - きかへいきん（英語表記）geometric mean

It is also called the geometric mean. When n positive numbers are x ₁ , x ₂ , ..., x _n , the nth root G of their product is called the geometric mean. It is used as one of the representative values in statistics. In this case, it is the geometric mean of the variables x ₁ , x ₂ , ..., x _n when the frequencies are all 1, but if the frequencies of each variable are f ₁ , f ₂ , ..., f _n , the weighted geometric mean is given by N＝Σf _ith root G of the product of each x _i raised to the power of f _i .
