...A geography book of Kii Province compiled by the Wakayama Domain. It is also called "Kishoku Fudoki." It was completed in 1839 (Tenpo 10) with the cooperation of Niida Yoshifuru, Niida Chogun, Motoori Naito, Kano Shohei, and others. It consists of 97 volumes, 17 volumes of appendices, and 81 volumes on Mount Koya, for a total of 195 volumes. Compilation began in 1806 (Bunka 3), and the survey of the four Kihoku counties was completed three years later, but there was a long hiatus after that. It was resumed in 1831, and completed eight years later.
