Kanpuzan (Kochi)

...Population: 930 (1995). Located in the headwaters of the Yoshino River, the Ishizuchi Mountains, including Tsutsugamiyama (1,859m), Kamegamori (1,897m), Kanpusan (1,763m), and Sasagamine (1,860m), stand in the north, and the area borders Ehime Prefecture. The area from the village to the east, including Okawamura, was once called Honkawa-go, an isolated mountainous region. In the Middle Ages, there were five local lords known as the Honkawa Goto.
