Born in 1589. Son of Onami (Kanze Motoshige). Apprentice to Konparu Toyoji (Konparu Zenchiku's uncle), and later adopted. Renowned as a master of the taiko drums, he is considered the founder of the Kanze school of taiko drumming. Died on June 5, 1592. Age 54. Commonly known as Yoshiro.
