A shite actor in the Kanze school of Noh. [Masuda Shozo] First World(1885-1940) was the adopted son of Kiyoyuki, a member of the branch family of the Kanze Tetsunojo family. His former name was Hattori Kita. Although he was excommunicated from the Kanze main school over the issue of publishing a Noh book, he was a master of the art, praised for his intricate style of performance, which was like that of lacquer art. [Masuda Shozo] II(1902-77) Nephew of the founder, his former name was Takeo Nagashima. He performed in Venice and Paris in 1954 and 1957 (Showa 29 and 32) with Kita Minoru and others.
