Debris flow - gansetsuryu (English spelling) debris flow
The flow of a mixture of sediment and fluid, involving a matrix of fluid and fine-grained sediment. The matrix has finite yield strength and can support larger particles while moving under gravity. An example of a debris flow is a mud flow [Johnson: 1970].
