Japanese: 神田 - かんだ

The former Kanda Ward area of Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward. Divided into Sotokanda on the north bank of the Kanda River and Surugadai, Hitotsubashi, Jinbocho, Uchikanda, Higashikanda, etc. on the south side, the area developed from the Kamakura Riverbank in the early Edo period, and is now home to JR and subway stations in the areas of Ochanomizu, Suidobashi, Akihabara, and Uchikanda Higashibu (Kanda Station).
