Environmental Sanitation Finance Corporation

Japanese: 環境衛生金融公庫 - かんきょうえいせいきんゆうこうこ

A government financial institution that targets businesses related to environmental sanitation and their cooperatives. Established in 1967 (Environmental Sanitation Finance Corporation Act). Environmental sanitation-related businesses include restaurants, coffee shops, meat dealers, ice and snow dealers, barbershops, beauty salons, public baths, theaters, inns, dry cleaners, etc., and the corporation provided loans to these businesses with the aim of modernizing and coordinating these sectors, which have a direct impact on the environmental sanitation of people's lives. In October 1999, it merged with the Japan Finance Corporation for National Life to launch the new Japan Finance Corporation for National Life. The Japan Finance Corporation for National Life became the Japan Finance Corporation in 2008.

環境衛生関係の営業者，およびその協同組合などを対象とした政府金融機関。1967年設立（環境衛生金融公庫法）。環境衛生関係の営業とは，飲食店，喫茶店，食肉販売，氷雪販売，理容，美容，公衆浴場，劇場，旅館，クリーニング店などで，国民生活の環境衛生に直接的な影響を与えるこれらの部門の近代化，協業化をはかることを目的として，これらに資金の貸し付けを行なっていた。1999年10月国民金融公庫と統合，新たに国民生活金融公庫として発足。国民生活金融公庫は 2008年に日本政策金融公庫となった。
