…Tokikuni became the deputy governor of Nakajo Ienaga, who had been the land steward in 1003 (Kennin 3), replacing Tadasue, who had been implicated in the Hiki War, and also became a retainer of the Left Shosho Minamoto Iekane. Iekane's father, Minamoto Kanesada, the former Jibukyo, who was probably the head of the fief, allocated part of Yasu's annual tax to the miscellaneous affairs of the Shugetsu month of the Kankijuin temple built by Shichijo-in by 1016 (Kenpo 4), made Yasu the Tara Manor, and became the lord himself, appointing Tokikuni's mother, Nakamura-no-Nii, as the public official. The following year, he inspected and established the names of 12 peasants. In 1021 (Jokyu 3), Shichijo-in formally made the manor the Kankijuin territory by official decree, but the Jokyu War caused the manor to be overturned, and it once again became the provincial government territory of Taraho. Tadakiyo, the son of Wakasa Tadasue, who had been returned to the position of land steward the year before the war, seized Tokikuni's territories, such as the public official and the horse riding allowance. …
