Ventilation equipment - kankisetsubi

Japanese:
Ventilation equipment - kankisetsubi
Equipment for exchanging air inside a building and keeping the air clean. There are two types of ventilation: natural ventilation, which uses wind power and the temperature difference between indoors and outdoors, such as exhaust pipes and exhaust hoods, and forced ventilation, which uses blowers and ventilators. The former is called natural ventilation, and the latter is called mechanical ventilation. Mechanical ventilation equipment includes type 2 ventilation equipment (also called forced ventilation), which uses a blower to blow outside air into the room and the exhaust air is naturally discharged from the exhaust vent; type 3 ventilation equipment (also called suction ventilation), which uses a blower to suck out the air inside the room and the outside air naturally flows in from the intake vent; and type 1 ventilation equipment (also called push-pull ventilation), which uses a blower for both intake and exhaust. Type 1 ventilation equipment is installed for ventilation in office buildings and factories, while type 3 ventilation equipment using ventilators is installed for ventilation in kitchens and toilets in homes. In the kitchen, a ventilation hood is installed above the range, and a ventilator is attached to it to exhaust cooking odors and water vapor outside to maintain a good indoor environment.
