《Sensory Philosophy》

…A Dominican friar. Heavily influenced by the then leading natural philosopher Bernardino Telesio's advocacy of sensationalism and empiricism in opposition to Aristotle, he wrote “Philosophy of the Senses” in 1591. His revolutionary theories made him many enemies, so he left his hometown and traveled to Naples, Rome, Florence, Venice, Padua, and Bologna, during which time he had contact with Galileo and Sarpi.
