Cut and Sew Knitwear

…Woven fabrics are made by interlacing two series of threads, warp and weft, at right angles, while knitted fabrics are made by stitching together loops. There are two types of knitted fabrics: fabric knitting, which is cut and sewn like woven fabrics, and shaped knitting, which is made by knitting a piece of fabric by increasing or decreasing the number of stitches according to a pattern, and then stitching the pieces together to make a finished product. The former type of product is called cut-and-sewn knitwear, and the latter type is called fully fashioned knitwear. It is used only for weft knitting, but there are no cut seams like cloth products, and even when stitched together, the seams do not feel thick. There are also semi-shaped products that incorporate both methods of knitting and shaping, but in order to increase production efficiency, parts of the neckline and sleeve cap are cut off. …
