Born October 30, 1908. Second son of Kawajiri Touma. Studied under Okamoto Kiichi and Murayama Tomoyoshi. Joined the Japan Proletarian Art League in 1928 and drew children's illustrations for the magazines "Shounen Senki" and "Kodomo no Tomo."
