Born on March 29, 1902. He participated in the New Children's Story Writers Association, and also contributed to the proletarian daycare center movement. In 1931, he published a collection of proletarian children's songs, "Little Comrades," with Makimoto Kusuro and others. He later turned to children's stories about daily life, and published a collection of children's stories, "Children Surrounded by the Sun," among others. After the war, he participated in the founding of the Japan Association of Children's Literature Writers. He passed away on August 8, 1980, at the age of 78.
