〘 noun 〙 ("Ki" means the end of something)① Mainly during the Heian period, when the "Nihon Shoki" or the presentation of Chinese classics or the imperial compilation of waka poetry at the Imperial Court was completed, a banquet was held, and ministers were asked to compose poems or songs related to the matters described in the book, and a stipend was bestowed upon them. It was also sometimes held as a private citizen. ※Sandai Jitsuroku - December 20th, 860 (2nd year of the Jogan era) "Okasuga no Ason Noh Tsugu, a Junior Fifth Rank, presented the Emperor with _a _{comment on} the Sutra of _Filial Piety and bestowed upon _him . _Today , _{a ki} banquet _{was held} , _and _Noh Tsugu, a Junior Fifth Rank, was bestowed upon him." ※Masukagami (around 1368-76) ₇ "If it was in the time of Shin Kokin, an event called a ki banquet was held.
