…the Karakoram mountain range is located in the central part of the Asian continent. It is also called Karakoram, and its Chinese name is Kala Kunlun. It forms the watershed between the Shaksgam River, a tributary of the Yarkand River, which flows into the Tarim Basin in the north, and the Indus River and its tributary, the Shayok River, in the south.
