A former town in Ena County, in the southeastern tip of Gifu Prefecture. It occupies the mountainous area at the southwestern end of the Kiso Mountains, and is located in the Kamimura River basin, a tributary of the Yahagi River. Forestry is thriving here, and konjac is also produced in abundance. National Route 257 runs through Ena City. In October 2004, it was incorporated into Ena City along with Iwamura Town, Yamaoka Town, Akechi Town, and Kushihara Village in Ena County. 130.96 km2 . 2,729 people (2003).
