Gakubunji - Kamuro

A district of Hashimoto City in the northeastern part of Wakayama Prefecture. Formerly Gakubunji Village. In the old days, it was written as Kamuro. It faces the south bank of the Kinokawa River and is at the top of the Fudo Slope on the pilgrimage route to Mount Koya. There is the Karukayado Hall, named after Ishidomaru, who is known for his preaching and Joruri, and a stone associated with the Noh song "Monogurui of Koya." National Route 370 passes through the area, and there is Gakubunji Station on the Nankai Electric Railway Koya Line. The entrance ticket to this station is popular as a good luck charm for exams.

和歌山県北東部、橋本市の一地区。旧学文路村。古くは禿(かむろ)と書いた。紀ノ川南岸に臨み、また高野山参詣(こうやさんさんけい)路の不動坂道の上り口にあたり、説教、浄瑠璃(じょうるり)で知られる石童丸(いしどうまる)にちなむ苅萱堂(かるかやどう)や、謡曲『高野物狂(ものぐるい)』にちなむ石がある。国道370号が通じ、南海電鉄高野線の学文路駅がある。この駅の入場券は受験のお守りとして人気になっている。
