Gabon Democratic Party

...The parliament is a unicameral National Assembly, with members serving five-year terms. In 1967, the BDG became a de facto one-party state, but in March 1968, President Bongo decided to change the de facto one-party state to a de jure one-party state, dissolved the BDG, and established the Gabonese Democratic Party (PDG) as its successor party. The PDG's motto is "dialogue, tolerance, peace," and its goal is to overcome tribal conflicts, promote national integration, and ensure national unity.
