…(6) Stock Yield The ratio of stock dividends to the market price is called stock yield and is considered to be the interest rate of stocks. The ratio of the sum of stock dividends and capital gains to the market price is called stock return and is sometimes considered to be the interest rate of stocks.
[Interest calculation]
There are two types of interest calculations: principal and interest calculations, which calculate the amount of interest that must be paid at a future time (at maturity) on funds (principal) at the present time, and discount calculations, which calculate the amount of interest that must be deducted at the present time to evaluate funds at a future time.
