Born on November 3, 1884. After retiring as a lieutenant in the navy, he majored in philosophy. He served as professor at Keio University and Kyushu Imperial University. In 1941, he was invited by Nazi Germany to lecture on Imperial Japanese Studies. In 1942, he became executive director and secretary-general of the Great Japan Society of Genron Hokkai. After the war, he was banned from holding public office. He passed away on December 23, 1949, at the age of 66. He was from Tokyo and graduated from the Naval Engineering School.
