The eldest son of Kano Koi. In 1621, he became the official painter of the Wakayama Domain in Kii. In 1622-1623, he worked on the decoration of Nikko Toshogu Shrine. In 1626, he participated in the production of the sliding screen paintings at the Imperial Palace. He passed away on November 2, 1661. His nickname was Yaemon.
