Kanemaki Temple

...It was originally a Hosso sect temple, then changed to Shingon Buddhism, and became a Tendai sect temple in 1652 (Shoo 1). It is also commonly known as Kanemaki-ji Temple. It is said that Emperor Mommu had the Minister of Justice, Dosei, build it as an imperial temple during the Taiho era (701-704).
