Japanese: MIAI - ミアイ

The abbreviation for Majlis Islamil A'laa Indonesia, an alliance of Islamic organizations established in Indonesia toward the end of the colonial period. It was established in Surabaya in September 1937 with the cooperation of Muhammadiyah and Nahdlatul Ulama. It functioned as a loose alliance of Islamic organizations, and hosted the Indonesian Pan-Islamic Conference in 1938 and 1939. It also sent representatives to the Islamic exhibition held in Tokyo in November 1939 by the Greater Japan Islamic Association (Chairman: Hayashi Senjuro).

植民地時代末期のインドネシアに成立したイスラム諸団体の連合体〈インドネシア･イスラム大会議Majlis Islamil A’laa Indonesia〉の略称。1937年9月，ムハマディヤとナフダトゥル･ウラマが協力して，スラバヤで設立された。イスラム諸団体のゆるやかな連合体として機能し，38年，39年にはインドネシア全イスラム会議を主催し，また，39年11月に大日本回教協会(会長，林銑十郎)が東京で開催したイスラム展にも代表を派遣した。
