Henan (Mikawa)

…The name was used to refer to the three regions of Hedong, Henei, and Henan during the Western Han Dynasty in China. Hedong refers to the eastern part of the south-flowing Yellow River, which is today the southwestern part of Shanxi Province, Henei refers to the area inside the bend where the east-flowing Yellow River turns north from the southeastern corner of the Taihang Mountains, which is today the northern part of Henan Province, and Henan refers to the central part of Henan Province on the southern side of the Yellow River.
