A circular path through which magnetic flux passes, or a combination thereof. It is mainly made by combining ferromagnetic materials in which magnetic flux concentrates. When a coil with N turns is made on a ring-shaped iron core and a current I is passed through it, magnetic flux passes through the iron core. The circuit through which this magnetic flux passes is called a magnetic circuit. If the magnetomotive force NI corresponds to the electromotive force E , the magnetic flux to the current, and the magnetic resistance to the electrical resistance R , the relationships between them correspond to Ohm's law, and complex calculations of magnetic circuits can be performed in a similar manner to electrical circuits.

磁束が通るひとめぐりの通路，またはその組み合わせ。おもに磁束の集中する強磁性体を組み合わせてつくる。環状の鉄芯に N 回巻きのコイルをつくり，電流 I を流すと鉄芯内に磁束が通る。この磁束の通る回路を磁気回路という。起磁力 NI に起電力 E ，磁束に電流，磁気抵抗に電気抵抗 R を対応させると，それらの関係はオームの法則に相当し，磁気回路の複雑な計算が電気回路に準じて行なえる。
