〘Noun〙 ("Qu" means palace gate) Palace. Imperial castle. Palace gate. ※Ryo Gijie (718) Miyaei "There are two palace gates nearby. It is impossible to burn the evil things , and cries can be heard everywhere (so the palace gates are still called palaces)." ※Kokin Chomonshu (1254) 3 "He climbed a tree to look at the palace gates."
