Gatwick Airport

Japanese: ガトウィック空港 - がとうぃっくくうこう
Gatwick Airport

Airfields are public facilities that are primarily used for air transport and have a certain level of size and facilities.
[Airport History]
In the early days of aviation from the late 19th century to the early 20th century, aircraft took off and landed on grasslands, riverbanks, squares, and training grounds. As aircraft developed, air transport took off in Europe in the early and mid-1920s, and airports with simple runways and passenger facilities appeared. By the end of the 1930s, facilities that would become the prototypes of modern airports had been completed one after another in European and American countries.

Heathrow Airport, 24 km west of the city center, is the main international airport, and Gatwick Airport, 43 km south, is complementary, but the construction of a third international airport is planned to ease congestion. The Eurotunnel, which opened in 1994, has made it possible to travel between London and Paris in about three hours by Eurostar express train. ...
