This cave site is located near Mae San Nam village, Mae Hong Son province, near the Myanmar border in northwest Thailand. It is located on a limestone cliff on the west bank of the Kong River, a tributary of the Pai River. Excavations were conducted by Chester and Gorman in 1966. The lower layers 4/3/2a/2 are designated as cultural layer I, and the upper surface of layer 2 and layer 1, which are thought to have been used during daily life, are designated as cultural layer II. Layer II belongs to the Hoa Binh culture, and the main artifacts are large crude one-sided processed pebble tools, grinding stones, and secondary processed flake stone tools with signs of use.

タイ北西部のミャンマー国境に近い，メ･ホンソン県メイ･サンナム村付近に所在する洞窟遺跡で，パイ川支流のコン川西岸の石灰岩崖に位置する。1966年にチェスター，ゴーマンが発掘調査を行った。下部の第4･3･2a･2層を文化層Iとし，生活面かとされる2層上面と1層を文化層IIとしている。IIはホアビン文化に属し，大型粗製で片面加工の礫器，磨石（すりいし），二次加工を施した使用痕のある剝片石器が主たる遺物である。
