Kabuki actor. (1) The first Danjūrō IX. The fifth son of Danjūrō VII, he was adopted into the Kawarazaki family and briefly used the stage name Gonjūrō in his youth. (2) The second Danjūrō (1879-1955, Meiji 12-Showa 30). Born in Tokyo as the son of a teahouse called Takedaya, he became an actor in middle age. He succeeded Gonjūrō II in 1919. In his later years, he was famous as a great supporting actor in the Kikugoro Theater Company. (3) The third Danjūrō (1918 (Taishō 7)- ): Son of Danjūrō II. 歌舞伎俳優。(1)初世 9世市川団十郎の前名。7世団十郎の五男で,河原崎家へ養子に行き,青年時代に一時権十郎の名跡を名のった。(2)2世(1879‐1955∥明治12‐昭和30) 芝居茶屋武田屋の子として東京に生まれ,中年から俳優になった。2世権三郎から,1919年に権十郎をつぐ。晩年は菊五郎劇団の名脇役として名高い。(3)3世(1918(大正7)‐ )2世の子。薫,権三郎を経て,56年権十郎を襲名。
