A coterie magazine. It was published between January 1925 (Taisho 14) and June 1927 (Showa 2), with a total of 28 issues. The coterie magazine's founding members were Kajii Motojiro, Tonomura Shigeru (later Shigeru), Nakatani Takao, Kutsuna Yoshinosuke, Kobayashi Kaoru, and Inamori Sotaro. Inamori, a poet who went on to Waseda University, left after only the first issue. The rest were people who went on to Tokyo Imperial University from the former Third High School, and the opening story of the first issue was Kajii's "Lemon." Later, Yodono Ryuzo, Iijima Tadashi, Miyoshi Tatsuji, Kitagawa Fuyuhiko and others also joined. Short stories such as "In a Town with a Castle," "K's Ascension," and "Winter Days" by Kajii, as well as poems such as "The Baby Carriage" and "On the Paving Stone" by Miyoshi, were also published here. Along with "The Donkey" by Shigeharu Nakano and Tatsuo Hori, and "Mainstream" by Kazuo Ozaki, it played a role in forming the source of Showa literature.
