Kunitaro Kawarasaki

Japanese: 河原崎国太郎 - かわらさきくにたろう

Kabuki actor. The son of the 6th head of the Edo Kawarazakiza theater, Kawarazaki Gonnosuke, Kunitaro, who was famous as a young female actor in the late Edo period, took the name in 1859 (Ansei 6). Of the 5 generations, the 4th and 5th are the most famous. (1) 4th (1888-1919, Meiji 21-Taisho 8): Real name Inoue Tadashi. Born in Kumamoto. Became a disciple of the 3rd Sanekawa Enzaburo and moved to Tokyo. In 1900, he made his debut at the Tokyoza under the name Sanekawa Enshi. In May 1906, he became the 2nd Sanekawa Entaro at the Tokyoza and played an active role as a leading female actor at the Miyatoza and Horaiza theaters, pairing with the 2nd Ichikawa Ennosuke (Saruo).

歌舞伎俳優。江戸河原崎座の座元6世河原崎権之助の子で，幕末の若女方として著名な国太郎が1859年(安政6)に名のったのがはじまり。5世までのうち4世，5世が有名。(1)4世(1888‐1919∥明治21‐大正8)　本名井上正。熊本生れ。3世実川延三郎の門弟となり上京，1900年東京座で実川延子（えんし）を名のり初舞台。06年5月東京座で2世実川延太郎となり，宮戸座，蓬萊座で立女方として活躍，2世市川猿之助(猿翁)と組む。
