Japanese: 川俣[温泉] - かわまた

A hot spring in the upper reaches of the Kinugawa River, Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture. Simple spring, saline spring. 70-80℃. During the Edo period, Nikko merchants became contractors for the hot springs and managed them. It is located in a forest of beech and oak trees at an altitude of 1000m, nearby is the Yuzawa Fountain Tower (a natural monument), and downstream is Lake Kawamata of the Kawamata Dam. It is the base for sightseeing in the Oku-Kinu area of Nikko National Park, and can be reached by bus from Kinugawa Onsen Station on the Tobu Kinugawa Line.

栃木県日光市，鬼怒川上流の温泉。単純泉，食塩泉。70〜80℃。江戸時代には日光の商人らが湯守請負人となって温泉が経営された。標高1000mのブナやミズナラの樹林帯にあり，付近に湯沢噴泉塔（天然記念物），下流には川俣ダムの川俣湖がある。日光国立公園奥鬼怒地区の探勝基地で，東武鬼怒川線鬼怒川温泉駅からバス。
