For example, the organization of the Congregation of Monastics, which was founded in 1419 around the Santa Giustina monastery in Padua, was a new type of monastic order that combined the merits of both contemplation and begging, and many other orders followed suit. Examples of this are the Cassino monks in Italy, and the monks of Saint-Denis and Saint-Maur in France.
