Sengoku daimyo. Lord of Ichijodani Castle in Echizen. Also known as Takakage, Masakage, and Danjozaemon- no-jo. Buddhist name Eirin Muneo . One of the three elder retainers of the Shiba clan. Built a castle in Ichijodani. In Bunmei 3 ( 1471 ), he became the Echizen shugo (guardian of Echizen) in place of the Shiba clan. Enacted the "Seventeen Articles of Asakura Toshikage." From Shocho 1 to Bunmei 13 ( 1428-81 ).
