Sengoku daimyo. Lord of Ichijodani Castle in Echizen. Also known as Takakage, Masakage, and Danjozaemon- no-jo. Buddhist name Eirin Muneo . One of the three elder retainers of the Shiba clan. Built a castle in Ichijodani. In Bunmei 3 ( 1471 ), he became the Echizen shugo (guardian of Echizen) in place of the Shiba clan. Enacted the "Seventeen Articles of Asakura Toshikage." 戦国大名。越前一乗谷城主。別名孝景、政景、弾正左衛門尉。法名英林宗雄。斯波(しば)氏三家老の一人。一乗谷に築城。文明三年(一四七一)、斯波氏に代わって越前守護となった。「朝倉敏景十七か条」を制定。正長元~文明一三年(一四二八‐八一)
