Catalaunum - Catalaunum

…the decisive battle between Attila's Hun army and the Western European coalition army under General Aetius of the Western Roman Empire, which took place in June 451 on the plains of Catalaunum (today the region of Chalons-sur-Marne in northeastern France). It is said that 165,000 men were killed on both sides in this battle, but the Western European coalition won the victory.
