Comprehensive River Development Method

Historically, they can be divided into four categories: (1) Comprehensive river development centered on multipurpose dams. This method was used before the war, and was modeled after the TVA in the 1950s. The National Comprehensive Development Act was enacted in 1950, but the formulation of a national comprehensive development plan based on this was not completed until 1962. Therefore, specific regional comprehensive development plans were created under the same act to address regional issues caused by the devastation of industry due to war damage, the loss of colonies, and the increase in unemployment due to the large-scale withdrawal of repatriates and soldiers.
