Cusp delta - Cusp delta

...In Japan, examples of arc-shaped deltas include the Tama River and the Obitsu River that flow into Tokyo Bay, and the delta of the Iwaki River (Aomori Prefecture) before it was reclaimed. On the other hand, when the action of the sea or lake is strong in front of the delta and the river also transports a lot of sediment, the delta becomes a pointed delta (also called a cusp delta) with its apex near the mouth of the main river. The Tiber River delta in Italy is a typical example.
