...It falls around August 1st of the lunar calendar, so it is also a Hassaku event. Usually, it takes the form of a simple festival, where villagers take a day off work, gather together to eat and drink, or stay in the village shrine to stop the wind. It is also a Shinto ritual at shrines, such as the Kazahimachi at Yahiko Shrine in Niigata Prefecture on the 220th day, and the Kazachinsai at Iwa Shrine in Hyogo Prefecture, seven days before the 210th day.
