Kyoto Sangyo University

A private university founded in 1965 by Toshima Araki. As of 2010, it has eight faculties: Economics, Business Administration, Law, Foreign Languages, Science, Cultural Studies, Computer Science and Engineering, and Integrated Life Sciences, as well as seven graduate schools: Economics, Law, Foreign Languages, Science, Engineering, Management, and Legal Affairs, and research institutes for global issues, Japanese culture, advanced science and technology, and general academic studies. The university's founding spirit is to nurture industrialists who can function in the international community, and it offers foreign language courses in approximately 10 countries, as well as placing emphasis on education and research in international relations and world issues. It is located at Kamigamo Honyama, Kita-ku, Kyoto City.

私立。1965年(昭和40)荒木俊馬(としま)によって創立された大学。2010年(平成22)時点で、経済学、経営学、法学、外国語学、理学、文化学、コンピュータ理工学、総合生命科学の8学部のほかに、経済学、法学、外国語学、理学、工学、マネジメント、法務の7研究科からなる大学院と、世界問題、日本文化、先端科学技術、総合学術などの研究所をもつ。国際社会に通用する産業人の育成を建学の精神として、約10か国の外国語講座が開講されているほか、国際関係や世界問題の教育研究に力が置かれている。所在地は京都市北区上賀茂本山。
