〘Noun〙 A belt made of cowhide. The leather belts worn by men in the morning wear are painted black with lacquer and are also called katai belts because they are decorated with a series of ornaments called ka . Depending on the material of the ka, they are also called gold belts , silver belts, jade belts , or stone belts . Kawaobi. ※Shoku Nihongi - Wadou 5th year (712), May Jinshin "Kiyouri.
