A general term for a group of compounds such as amphetamine and methamphetamine (brand name Hiropon). It is derived from the German word Weckamin and is usually called a "stimulant drug." It acts directly on the brain to excite it, so it has effects such as making you feel refreshed, increasing your confidence, reducing fatigue, and eliminating drowsiness. It is addictive and can lead to chronic addiction, so its handling is regulated by the Stimulants Control Act.
