[Vertebrate teeth]
Vertebrates have two main types of teeth. The first type is called keratinous teeth, which are formed by the keratinization of the epithelium of the oral cavity and are not very hard. Examples include the numerous conical teeth that grow like a grater in the funnel-shaped mouth of cyclostomes and the rows of teeth on the upper jaw of tadpoles of frogs.
