A national park in southeastern New Mexico, USA. Established in 1930. Area 189 km2. Located 40 km southwest of Carlsbad, it is centered on a huge limestone labyrinth-like cave, the total length of which is still unknown. Magnificent stalactites and stalagmites can be seen. The deepest confirmed cave is 300 m underground, and the largest is called the Big Room. The temperature inside the cave is a constant 13°C. It is also known as a habitat for countless bats.
