In the Yuan Dynasty, it established the Qiongzhou Military Civil Anfusi, Nanning Army, Wan'an Army, and Jiyang Army, and placed the Haibei Hainan Dao Xuan Yisi in Leizhou, subordinated it to the Hu Guanghang Zhongshu Province. The name Hainan Island is said to have originated from this. …
