Japanese: 回転競技 - カイテンキョウギ

1. One of the alpine events in ski racing. Skiers ski down a steep slope about 200 meters in elevation and 500 meters in length, passing through 50 to 80 gates, and compete for the time it takes to complete the process. Slalom.
2. A type of snowboarding event. As in 1 , it is a competition to see who can slide down the slope the fastest. The course has an elevation difference of 80 to 120 meters, a length of 250 to 450 meters, and more than 18 gates set at intervals of 10 to 14 meters. It is called "parallel slalom" because competitors compete one-on-one on two parallel courses.

２スノーボード競技の種目の一。1のように、斜面を滑り降りる所要時間を競うもの。コースは標高差80～120メートル、長さ250～450メートルで、旗門は10メートルから14メートルの間隔で18以上設置される。並行に配された2コースで、一対一で対戦することから「パラレル回転」とよばれる。
