Kaizaki

...After the Meiji era, it developed as a regional center in the southern part of the prefecture. Before World War II, there was a naval base, and after the war, pulp and shipbuilding factories moved into the old facilities, and plywood and cement factories were also built in the Kaizaki area, making it an industrial city. However, with the slow growth, business slumped except for cement, and the plywood factory was closed.
