One of the guilds in medieval Florence. Its actual circumstances are still unclear. From the 12th century onwards, great merchants engaged in international commerce, especially woolen textiles from northwestern Europe, were concentrated in the Calimala district, the city's center. They also engaged in financial services, which were twinned with medieval commerce, and in dyeing and finishing imported woolen textiles for re-export. At first, the guild was a kind of guild with a local association character, consisting of people with shops in the Calimala district, with the great merchants at its core.

中世フィレンツェのギルドの一つ。その実態はまだ不明な点が多い。12世紀以降，同市の中心街であるカリマーラ街には国際商業，特に北西ヨーロッパ産の毛織物の取引を営む大商人が集中していた。彼らは中世商業と双子関係にある金融業や，未完成品の輸入毛織物を染色･仕上加工して再輸出するようになると，こうした工業をも営んだ。同ギルドは最初このような大商人を中核とする，カリマーラ街に店舗をもつ人々からなる，地区団体的な性格をもった一種のギルドであった。
