Organizing activities - Orugu Kadō

...meaning an organizer, or "org" for short. Dispatched from a higher-level labor union organization, they are responsible for a specific region or business, and they work with unorganized workers to encourage them to join or form unions, and also play a role in supporting weaker union sub-organizations (such activities are called organizing activities). In late 19th century England, industrial and general unions were established to overcome the limitations of occupational unions, but these unions primarily targeted unskilled workers who had not previously been organized, and so the new role of organizer was needed to organize them and expand unions.
