AT&T is the largest telecommunications company in the United States, and with long-distance business at its core, it also operates mobile phone services (AT&T Wireless Service) and Internet services (AT&T WorldNet), and is also focusing on overseas business, and is expanding its partnerships with major telecommunications companies around the world under the name "World Partners." The company was established in 1885 as a 100% subsidiary of the American Bell Telephone Company, which was founded by Alexander Graham Bell, with the aim of providing long-distance line services (its name at the time was AT&T, or American Telephone and Telegraph Company; the full name that corresponds to the current AT&T does not exist).
